Guidance Helicopters is proud to offer the Helicopter Flight Minor course to Embry-Riddle Students.
Guidance Helicopter's facilities are just minutes away from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Campus. Guidance utilizes more than
5,000 square feet of office and hangar space as well as 18,000 square feet of exclusive use operational ramp space.
Guidance has recently acquired an additional 10,000 square feet of hanger space at the Prescott Airport for aircraft maintenance, storage,
and future classroom and office expansion.
Graduates who complete their training at Guidance Helicopters possess a deeper understanding of helicopter limitations and a higher skill
level than their counterparts trained at sea level.
There are only a handful of places where students can acquire safe altitude training in piston helicopters. Guidance Helicopters is the only
professional FAA Approved Pilot School based at altitude and specializing in Robinson Helicopter Training.
Guidance Helicopters utilizes the Robinson R22 Beta II and
R44 Raven II. These aircraft are the most popular training helicopters in the world.
These two and four seat piston-engine helicopters are fast, maneuverable and safe at altitude. There is no other piston-type helicopter in
the world backed by so many enhanced safety features and practices. Additionally, more than 86% of the world's civilian flight schools operation
Robinson type helicopters. By receiving training in the R22 and R44 helicopters, the new CFI will be more eligible for that first helicopter career
step than those that are trained in other aircraft.
This is especially important, since the first job will likely be as a Certified Flight Instructor.
